12v LED Auxiliary Lights. Off Grid Ready. DIY Wiring Kit.

After talking with a good friend about his off-grid cabin, we have come up with the perfect solution for his lighting needed for his dock, long staircase to the water and outhouse. These lights have to be bright enough to see where your going in the pitch black of night, yet draw as little power as possible and be maintenance free.

First, we chose the most robust, top-quality LED available on the commercial market. The STAR-FO3X LEDs are used on commercial signs.

These LEDs are 12V, so they are fully compatible with the solar power set up used on most off grid set ups. They last 42,500 hours average and only draw 1.2W of power. You can run up to 50 LEDs on a 60W circuit (MAX)

These LEDs are IP68 water resistant and made by Samsung in Korea. Truly amazing LEDs in White Warm 3000K color.

I then created a 3D printed capsule that makes installing these LEDs as easy as possible in any situations.

The case comes with a cut-away tab, in case you want to install them on a pole, or you can install them under handrails, on docks, outhouses, boat live-wells, side by sides, flag poles, the possibilities are endless. 12V can be found just about anywhere.

The white lenses are also 3D printed, and snap into a channel in the case. No screws glue needed. The lens also acts as a filter to dampen the brightness of the LEDs. Without the lens, the lights are bright enough to leave spots on your vision.
